Hyde Park

Hyde Park is one of the hottest neighborhoods in South Tampa, with tons of shopping and great eating. Additionally, Hyde Park boasts the famous Bayshore Boulevard, the world’s longest stretch of uninterrupted sidewalk (4.5 miles!), with the bay on one side and million-dollar homes on the other.

Palma Ceia

Southwest of downtown Tampa is Palma Ceia (Spanish for “heavenly palm”), another highly desirable, very walkable neighborhood in South Tampa. The area boasts charming brick streets, excellent schools (including the area’s best high school, Plant), and a variety of dining options. Its central location also provides easy access to downtown Tampa, picturesque Bayshore Boulevard, and other parts of the city. Palma Ceia is also a hotspot for lots of trendy shops and restaurants.

Ballast Point

If you need the water but still want a suburban feel within South Tampa, Ballast Point is an excellent choice. This neighborhood offers a mix of historic and modern homes, many with large yards and beautiful landscaping.

A major draw is the east-facing 600-foot Ballast Point Pier. It’s one of the only places in the area where you can catch the perfect sunrise.

Nearby Bayshore Boulevard is Ballast Point Park, your go-to for family picnics, fishing off the pier, or soaking up some sunshine while kids play around in the splash pad. Get food, snacks, and bait to fish; rent the gazebo for a family get together; work out at the Joe Abrahams Fitness and Wellness Center; or enjoy a picnic at the park. It’s a great spot for families and anyone looking for a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle.

Imagine a waterfront oasis just minutes from downtown Tampa, offering a serene escape from the urban buzz. That’s Davis Islands, one of the most exclusive South Tampa neighborhoods. Here, luxury reigns supreme, with magnificent waterfront estates, private docks, and breathtaking views of the water. Davis Island Beach has beautiful views of the bay and downtown, and you can rent paddle boards and kayaks. There’s also a dog park and beach, the Roy Jenkins Pool, and a yacht club. Marjorie Park Marina has a playground for kids, but adults can still enjoy scenic waterfront views. The 1.5-mile Davis Island Trail suits all ages and connects to Marjorie Park Marina and the exciting Tampa Riverwalk
