If you’re in the market looking for a home or considering selling your Tampa home, you may be wondering what effect the current crisis will have on the area’s real estate. And while none of us has a functioning crystal ball, most Realtors are optimistic about the future of the real estate market. 

Right now, stay-at-home orders have forced us to get creative. Instead of visiting an open house, you can now take a virtual tour of your potential dream home. This has certainly slowed down the spring housing market, but that doesn’t mean people aren’t looking to buy a new home or sell their current home. Instead, it seems many people are biding their time and waiting until stay-at-home orders lift so they can either better tour homes themselves or list their homes in a less restrictive environment.

Many Realtors expect this dip in the spring market to lead to a bounce later in the year as people feel more comfortable buying and selling real estate. What will this mean for prices? Current predictions are positive—post-pandemic real estate prices should be around the same as they were pre-pandemic.
